Should the legal mobility budget be offered virtually?
Table of contents
By law, the mobility budget must be offered to the employee virtually. The mobility budget, after deducting any pillar 1 costs for an environmentally friendly company car and associated costs, is made available to the employee entirely in a virtual form. This ensures transparency and flexibility.
The employee should be able to access his budget at any time via a digital platform, with insight into:
- The identification details;
- The job category and date of allocation to this category;
- The allocated budget and validity date of the mobility budget;
- The available balance;
- The mobility choices made, with payment receipts and dates;
- The possible costs of managing the mobility budget;
- The adjustments made due to job changes or promotions.
In addition, the following aspects should be possible:
- Blocking access to the mobility budget balance on the day of termination of the mobility budget allocation;
- To make a new calculation of the mobility budget. To possibly allow the employer to demand the reimbursement of unlawfully used sums;
- To calculate the part of the balance of the mobility budget that was not used by the employee, and then paid out as pillar 3.
