We manage mobility budgets, EV charging, and fleet administration for more than 1,000 companies in Belgium. Every day, we sit at the intersection of HR, finance, and sustainability. We help employees make smarter mobility choices while keeping things manageable for their employers.
That work has always been rooted in a belief that mobility can be organised more fairly and more sustainably. But while beliefs are easy to put on a website, proving them is harder.
Why B Corp
Over the past year, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) started showing up more often in our conversations with clients. In procurement processes, RFPs, and partner evaluations. It became a real factor in how companies choose who they work with.
We chose to have an independent nonprofit look at every corner of how we run our company and tell us where we actually stand: B Lab™.
Their certification, B Corp™, is one of the most demanding independent assessments a company can go through. Certified B Corporations™ are verified as meeting B Lab Standards for social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. The B stands for "benefit," for people and the planet.
Over 10,000 companies worldwide carry the certification, together representing more than 1 million jobs. Our process will have taken eight months in total.
A proud score of 97.1
The threshold to certify is 80. The average company scores 50.9.
Here's where the points came from:
- Workers: 37.3. Our highest pillar. This covers financial security, health, career development, and engagement. It reflects how we run Mbrella internally every day.
- Customers: 26.5. Of that, 21.5 came from our Impact Business Model score. B Lab recognised our platform as a service that drives measurable positive impact.
- Governance: 15.5. Covers mission, ethics, transparency, and stakeholder decision-making.
- Community: 13.3. Covers diversity, economic impact, and supply chain management.
What we learned
We expected the process to surface things we needed to fix. Mostly, it surfaced things we needed to write down.
As Clara Mailley, People Lead, puts it: "Most of the information I needed was already there. Our async-first culture meant things were documented. It was mostly about formalising what was already happening at Mbrella, and getting a handful of administrative things done."
That transparency showed up in the Workers score too. "We have great working conditions at Mbrella, and we make sure our people are cared for. Competitive salaries, solid benefits, and we actively track engagement and act on feedback. That's just how we operate." Clara Mailley, People Lead.
What it means if you work with us
Nothing changes in how we work together. But there is now an independent verification, publicly available and reassessed every three years, that the company managing mobility for your employees meets verified standards for social and environmental business practices. A tangible asset for your own supplier assessments and internal certification requirements.
