Mbrella has created the first corporate mobility solution that is designed to empower employees while unburdening mobility professionals completely. Mbrella enables employees to compose their ideal mobility mix, tailor their own salaries, track their mobility spend and check their EV charging status on the go. For employers, Mbrella lets you put your entire mobility policy on auto-pilot. From automated expense approvals and kilometer allowances to pre-paid payment cards, self-service public transport orders and custom EV charging budgets, Mbrella takes the hassle out of flexible and sustainable mobility. On top of that, everything is smoothly integrated with your payroll provider to ensure the most correct payslip you’ve ever seen. Fair & flexible compensation, with no admin.
We offer an easy management of subscriptions for NMBS-SNCB, STIB-MIVB, De Lijn and TEC.
If the subscription was ordered through Mbrella, it will be deactivated by Mbrella. You will receive a partial reimbursement linked to the remaining duration of the subscription.
The third-party payer agreement is a system where employers cover the public transportation costs of their employees directly. Instead of employees purchasing tickets and seeking reimbursement, the employer pays the transport operator on behalf of the employee. When using this system, the government pays for part of the subscription.
Mbrella Pay distinguishes itself with clear costs and customizable features, putting control in the hands of both employers and employees, without any transaction fees. A single fee of €5 is charged for the production and delivery of the card. The cost of the card can be deducted from the employee's budget.
You can have one virtual card at a time. However, you can have a virtual card linked to a different mobility budget than your physical card, allowing for more controlled spending. Virtual cards also can’t be lost like physical ones, have no printing or shipping costs, and help avoid producing and transporting unnecessary plastic.
Whenever the company balance is low, Mbrella wil send you a request for a top-up. This could be multiple times a month or even just once a year. This way, we ensure your employees transactions keep running smoothly.
Mbrella Commute is one of our modules that allows employees to log their commuting trips and order public transport subscriptions. Trips logged via the commute planner, along with our payroll integration, are automatically reimbursed. Companies can save up to 26% on public transport subscriptions through grouped orders.
The Flex mobility budget is a budget that all employees can use to reimburse their sustainable mobility expenses. They can spend the budget on public transport, parking, electric steps, shared bikes... instead of limiting their options to only train for instance. It's the ideal alternative for companies that don't meet the strict conditions of the federal mobility budget or who want to reward their employees with a sustainable perk. But no housing costs are possible, and taxes and social contributions are paid depending the expense type.
- Depending on the expenditure taxes and social contributions are paid.
- Commute expenses for parking, bike and public transport are tax and social contribution free.
- Commute expenses for other mobility services are not tax free, this can influence personal tax income (employee) & company tax (employer). But are social contribution free.
- Mobility Expenses for private reasons are handled like it is gross wage.
