An Mbrella charging pass is a key component of the Mbrella Charge system, designed to allow electric vehicle (EV) drivers to easily access and pay for charging services across multiple charging networks.
Types of Passes
- Virtual Pass: A digital version of the pass available in the Mbrella Charge app
- Physical Pass: A physical card that can be used at charging stations
💡 The Mbrella physical pass costs 9,90 exc VAT and includes the production and shipment of the card to the chosen address.
Activation and Distribution
- When Mbrella Charge is activated for an employee, a physical charge pass is automatically ordered. The pass is typically sent to the driver's home address within 10 days of ordering
- A virtual charging pass is automatically created and available in the Mbrella Charge app
Compatibility
- The passes work with a wide network of charging stations, though compatibility can vary
- Approximately 60% of charging stations support cardless (virtual pass) charging
- Some charging stations may only be activated with the physical card due to specific agreements with charge point operators
